Signol is a London based behaviour change service that helps airlines cut fuel burn and carbon emissions by changing how flight crew operate, with no hardware, retrofit or simulator training required. The platform identifies the fuel saving actions that matter most, such as reduced APU use, optimised climb profiles and single engine taxi, then gives individual pilots personalised feedback, SMART goals, peer benchmarking and prosocial rewards drawn from more than 18 behavioural science techniques. A manager dashboard reports fuel and CO2 saved so the operator can quantify the result against its own baseline. Virgin Atlantic is the named aviation customer: over an 18 month programme Signol reports 39,433 tonnes of CO2 saved, equivalent to a 0.7 percent reduction in fuel burn. Signol applies the same method in maritime shipping, where customers include BSM Deutschland, Clarksons, Ridgebury and Christiania Shipping.
