Ultra Electronics Airport Systems, now part of ADB SAFEGATE, provides baggage handling control and RFID-based asset tracking technology that gives airports real-time visibility into turnaround operations, helping ground handlers and airport operators improve baggage flow accuracy and operational efficiency.

ADB SAFEGATE supplies airside and terminal systems to airports, airlines and air navigation service providers, with installations at over 3,000 airports in more than 175 countries and headquarters in Machelen, Belgium. The airside portfolio covers airfield lighting, apron and gate systems including Safedock visual docking guidance, tower and surface movement products such as CORTEX, and weather systems including ATIS, AWOS, LLWAS and RVR. The airport systems line, acquired with Ultra Airport Systems in February 2019, adds the airport operational database (AODB), the AS-FIDS flight information display system, resource management and the AS-TRAK baggage reconciliation system. AS-TRAK matches bags to passengers and tracks bag location using barcode and mobile camera scanning, with WorldTracer integration for mishandled bags. Typical buyers are airport operators, ground handlers and airline station teams.
