BlueWX — BlueWX AI Turbulence Prediction

BlueWX (Tokyo, founded July 2023 as an industry-academia spinout of ANA and Keio University; CEO Kaz Watanabe) built an AI-based turbulence-prediction service using deep learning trained on a decade of turbulence data, achieving 86% prediction accuracy. All Nippon Airways (ANA) became the first airline in the world to deploy it in August 2025 after operational trials with 2,500 ANA pilots, integrating it into ANA's weather-data infrastructure.
