Cathay Technologies — Flight Folder

Cathay Technologies, part of the Cathay Group, leverages deep industry knowledge and operational insight to deliver aviation software solutions. Its flagship product, Flight Folder, enhances workflow efficiency for crew and ground staff and enables advanced data analysis for flight operations, helping airlines streamline pre-flight and operational decision-making.

Cathay Technologies is a Hong Kong based software subsidiary launched by Cathay Pacific Airways in April 2025 to commercialize digital tools the airline group built for its own operations. Its product is the Electronic Flight Folder (EFF), developed in house from 2019, which consolidates the pilot document stack for each flight: operational flight plan, load sheet, fuel data, NOTAMs and preflight briefing, with an embedded Ops Chat channel between crew and ground teams. The EFF is in daily use across Cathay Pacific, Cathay Cargo, HK Express and Air Hong Kong. Cargolux, the Luxembourg freighter operator, became the first external customer in June 2026. It competes with established electronic flight bag vendors including Jeppesen ForeFlight, NAVBLUE, Bytron and Aviobook.
