CIMPA is an engineering and IT consulting subsidiary of Safran Group, specializing in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), digital engineering, and systems integration for aerospace manufacturers. Headquartered in France, CIMPA supports OEMs and suppliers with PLM deployment, engineering IT, and digital transformation programs.

CIMPA is a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) services company and has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Sopra Steria since October 2015, after starting in 1995 as a spin off from the Aerospatiale corporate research centre and later sitting inside Airbus. It provides PLM consulting, PLM IT integration, engineering services, manufacturing and quality support, business performance work and application maintenance for aerospace, defence, automotive and transport manufacturers. Delivery spans roughly 18 countries including France, Germany, the UK, Spain, Italy, the Nordics, Poland, Bulgaria, India, Canada and the USA. Typical engagements are PLM deployment and data migration programmes for aircraft and equipment manufacturers, so the buyer is a large OEM or airframer engineering organisation rather than an operator or MRO.
