Tailsight is an AI-powered maintenance planning and optimisation platform for airline technical operations, headquartered in Austin, Texas. It centralises fleet maintenance data to give planners a single forward-looking view for maintenance decisions.

The platform brings together maintenance systems, flight schedules, staffing, station capability rules and parts availability to create a constraint-aware planning environment. A real-time optimisation engine lets planners generate, compare and refine maintenance plans that account for labour, parts, station capability and aircraft readiness, with a shared view of the fleet and each station and its constraints. Machine learning reconciles forecasts, technician availability, routing and station capabilities, and captures the judgement of experienced planners. The platform is built for airlines and MROs and also serves business aviation and military maintenance.

In April 2026 Alaska Airlines and Tailsight announced the platform's launch, with Alaska the first major airline to deploy it. Alaska invested in Tailsight and entered a multi-year strategic partnership after nearly two years of joint work defining requirements, shaping the software and testing it. Tailsight is led by CEO Adam Houghton, and its leadership team has worked at ForeFlight, Boeing and Bell Textron.
