VIAVI Solutions makes avionics test equipment for flight line, shop and depot maintenance. Its AVX-10K flight line test set covers communications (AM/FM, HF, SSB, SELCAL), navigation (VOR, ILS localizer and glideslope, marker beacon, DME, TACAN), and surveillance (transponder modes A and C, military modes 1, 2 and 3, TCAS, ADS-B on 1090 MHz and 978 MHz UAT), plus ELT checks, VSWR and distance to fault measurement in one portable unit. VIAVI received approval for AVX-10K use on Boeing commercial aircraft in 2023. The wider aviation line includes the ALT-9000 radio altimeter test set, ATC-5000NG and RGS-2000NG transponder and TCAS test systems, PSD90-3 fuel quantity test sets and antenna couplers.
