Waygate Technologies — Mentor Visual iQ+

Waygate Technologies, a Baker Hughes NDT business, makes aerospace borescopes with AI-assisted defect detection on its Mentor Visual iQ+ platform, developed under a joint development agreement with GE Aerospace.

Waygate Technologies is the non-destructive testing business of Baker Hughes, headquartered in Hürth, Germany. Its aviation relevant portfolio covers Everest Mentor Visual iQ+ and Mentor Flex+ video borescopes for engine and airframe remote visual inspection, digital and film radiography, Phoenix industrial computed tomography for part and additive manufacturing metrology, and Krautkrämer ultrasonic flaw detection. Under a joint technology development agreement with GE Aerospace that began in 2023, it delivers AI-assisted Menu Directed Inspection templates for GEnx-1B and GEnx-2B high pressure turbine blade borescope inspection, with inspection data managed in InspectionWorks Insight. Waygate serves aerospace alongside energy, automotive, electronics and medical device customers, with customer solution centres in Germany, the United States, China, India, Japan and Korea.
