Monica is fluent in ops, finance, strategy and tech – acting as a translator and matchmaker between MROs and solution providers.

Why I Started Aero NextGen

My journey in aviation technology began on the inside—trying to build digital solutions from scratch, surrounded by engineers and legacy systems. I quickly learned that developing new tech in a complex, highly regulated environment isn’t just challenging—it can be inefficient and isolating. Too often, I saw teams pouring time and resources into reinventing tools that already existed elsewhere, simply because the right connections weren’t in place.

That experience inspired me to launch Aero NextGen. I wanted to create the kind of ecosystem I wish I’d had: one where aviation companies can quickly access proven technology and trusted partners, without the headaches of starting from zero. My mission is to help others avoid the same pitfalls—so they can focus on real progress, not just building for the sake of building.

From Ops to Strategy

My career in aviation has been a journey across every level of the industry. I started with a background in finance, but my real education began at Bombardier, working in the transformation office. There, I had the chance to immerse myself in every part of aviation—from airframe manufacturing and maintenance facilities to leasing, parts trading, and charter operations. That 360° view showed me how interconnected (and complex) this industry truly is.

When I moved to AJW, I dove into the hands-on, brick-and-mortar side of the business. I led strategy and business development, driving transformation across every function: sales, customer service, product and engineering, marketing, operations, procurement, stores, finance, HR, and IT. I also had the opportunity to run digital transformation initiatives, manage the acquisition of Avia Component Services, and set up a battery shop in the UK—right in the middle of Brexit—to support the Aer Lingus and easyJet fleets.

One thing I’m most proud of is my ability to “translate” between worlds: from the boardroom to the shop floor, and from executive vision to dev team sprints. That blend of strategic perspective and operational know-how is at the heart of how I approach every challenge at Aero NextGen.

Vendor-neutral. For real?

Yes—vendor-neutral, for real. When I created the ERP Finder, I knew the aviation industry needed a truly unbiased platform. My goal has always been to help MROs and aviation businesses find the right solution for their needs, not just promote whoever pays the most. We don’t have exclusive deals or hidden agendas. Every provider in is treated equally and vetted based on performance, reputation, and fit—not on commissions or sponsorships.

My own experience working inside aviation taught me how costly it can be when technology decisions are driven by sales pitches and “relationships” instead of actual needs. That’s why the ERP Finder’s recommendations are based on your unique requirements, not on who’s at the top of a marketing list. Our platform is designed to give you clarity and confidence, so you can make the best decision for your business—every time.
