Top Aviation Software Companies: 2026 Directory by Category

Top aviation software companies 2026 directory by category

Aviation buyers do not need a longer list of vendors. They need a list organized the way their operation works. This 2026 directory groups aviation software companies by the problem they solve: core ERP and M&E, technical records and traceability, parts sales channels, flight operations and crew, shopfloor and AI, cybersecurity, and selection advisory. Every company below holds an active listing on the Aero NextGen marketplace, which indexes more than 600 providers serving fleet operators, MROs, OEMs, parts distributors and lessors. Companies are listed alphabetically within each category. This is a directory, not a ranking.

Why a category directory matters in 2026

The aviation software market is valued at an estimated $12.5 billion in 2026 and is projected to reach $22.5 billion by 2033 (Grand View Research). Growth at that rate brings more vendors, more overlapping claims and more product categories. A single ERP vendor may also offer task cards, quoting, CRM and a customer portal. A records specialist may also offer traceability and leasing support. Sorting by primary category is the fastest way to build a relevant shortlist.

The pressure to buy well is also rising. Oliver Wyman reports that global MRO demand reached $136 billion in 2025 and that the average fleet age approached 13 years (Oliver Wyman). SITA reports that air transport invested a record $50.8 billion in technology in 2025, and that 49% of airlines name data integration and consistency as their primary barrier (Travolution, reporting SITA). The right category, and the right integrations within it, decide whether that spend pays back.

How to use this directory:

  • Start with the category that matches the operational outcome you need to move (turnaround time, AOG response, records audit time, quote speed).
  • Open each company’s Aero NextGen profile to check segments served, regions supported, deployment model and integrations.
  • Shortlist three to five companies, then run scripted demos on your own data.
Seven categories of aviation software companies

1. ERP, M&E and core operating systems

The system of record for maintenance, inventory, procurement, finance and compliance. This is the largest and most consequential purchase in most aviation operations. Grand View Research reports that MRO software held 34% of the aviation software market in 2025, and cloud deployment 66% (Grand View Research).

  • AirNxt: ERP and M&E listing for fleet operators and MROs, with quality, inventory, AI automation and digital task card categories.
  • AMOS by Swiss Aviation Software: M&E system for operators, MROs and OEMs, with listings across customer portal, digital task card, predictive maintenance and supply chain categories.
  • AMS (Aircraft Maintenance Systems): Core maintenance system for operators and MROs, with data cleansing, PDF extraction, digital task card and predictive maintenance categories.
  • AvPro Software: ERP for OEMs, operators, MROs and distributors, with technical records, task card, RFQ and procurement automation categories.
  • AvSight: ERP for distributors and MROs, with analytics, CRM, RFQ automation, customer portal and AI agent categories.
  • CAMP Software (CAMP Aviate): Listed across core operating system, technical records digitization, digital task card, technician AI assistant and predictive maintenance.
  • CorePilot: ERP for parts distributors, with RFQ and RFP automation, dynamic pricing, CRM and supplier relationship management.
  • Impresa Corporation: ERP serving all four segments, with real-time gate reporting, quarantine management, parts traceability and asset leasing categories.
  • Pentagon 2000: Aviation ERP for MROs, distributors, OEMs and operators, with quoting, RFQ automation, traceability and electronic techlog categories.
  • Skyzen: Core operating system with technical records digitization, digital task card, inventory and electronic techlog categories.
  • Vellox Group: M&E system for operators and MROs, with flight operations, crew management, electronic techlog and fleet tracking categories.
  • Vista-Suite by Ambry Hill Technologies: ERP and MRO software for MROs and distributors, with quality, quarantine, tooling and shopfloor categories.

2. Technical records, traceability and compliance

Records are the asset value of an aircraft or a part. Under FAA rules, owners and operators must retain records such as total time in service, life-limited part status and airworthiness directive status, and transfer them with the aircraft at sale (14 CFR 91.417, Cornell LII). Software in this category turns paper and PDF records into searchable, auditable data.

  • Flydocs: Technical records digitization and PDF data extraction for operators and MROs, with asset leasing and audit categories.
  • ProvenAir Technologies: Parts traceability, technical records and AI automation across all four segments.
  • SmartCert: Quality management, parts traceability and back-to-birth trace for OEMs and distributors.
  • Skythread: Digital twin, parts traceability and quarantine management with a supplier network.

3. Parts sales channels and aftermarket data

Distributors, brokers, lessors and MROs buy and sell through shared marketplaces. Oliver Wyman cites raw material shortages and engine durability issues as major contributors to longer turnaround times, which makes parts visibility a revenue lever for sellers and a TAT lever for buyers.

  • Inventory Locator Service (ILS): Parts marketplace, sales channel, supplier network and aftermarket data.
  • Spaero: Parts marketplace, sales channel and aftermarket data services for MROs and operators.

4. Flight operations, crew and performance

Operations control is where AI adoption is moving fastest. SITA reports that 63% of airlines already use AI in operations control for disruption, aircraft assignment and crew availability (Travolution, reporting SITA).

5. Shopfloor, asset tracking and AI

BCG estimates that roughly half of technician time goes to non-wrench activity such as waiting for parts or searching for documentation (BCG, 2026). This category targets that time.

  • AVIATAR by Lufthansa Technik: Digital twin, technician AI assistant, shopfloor process improvement and fleet tracking for operators and MROs.
  • Pelico: Manufacturing orchestration, procurement risk and shopfloor improvement with AI agents.
  • Synapses (BlueGPS): RFID asset tracking, tooling management and smart warehouse systems.

6. Cybersecurity and data protection

Connected systems need protected data. SITA reports that cybersecurity is the leading technology focus for 71% of airports.

  • GoSecure: Cybersecurity, data protection and audit and compliance management across all four segments.

7. Selection advisory, data and CRM services

Software only delivers when the selection, data migration and commercial setup are done right. These firms support the process around the software.

  • JETELLIGENCE: Outsourced ERP selection, data cleansing and mapping, and exit-ready transformation roadmaps for MROs and distributors.
  • Level350 by Diaz & Cooper: CRM configuration and sales acceleration, data mapping and AI customer service agents.
  • Tsunami Tsolutions: Outsourced ERP selection, data services, engineering and IT support for OEMs, operators and MROs.

How to evaluate aviation software companies

Five steps for evaluating aviation software companies

A directory narrows the field. Fit decides the shortlist. Before you book demos, confirm five things for every company:

  1. Segment and operation type. Does the vendor serve your certificate type and business model (Part 145 repair station, CAMO, charter operator, broker, lessor)?
  2. Size range. Is your fleet or headcount inside the range the vendor supports and prices for?
  3. Region and support. Does the vendor support your region, time zone and regulator?
  4. Integrations. Can it prove live connections to your parts marketplaces, accounting system and records repository?
  5. Implementation model. Standard configuration or custom development, and what the timeline and total cost look like over five years.

The Aero NextGen take

The best aviation software company is the one built for your operation. A directory gives you the map. Matching gives you the route. Aero NextGen filters more than 600 indexed providers by operation type, segment, fleet or company size, region and integration needs, then delivers a shortlist of vetted providers at no cost to the buyer.

“Every aviation operator can find a list of vendors. Very few can find the three that fit their certificate, their fleet and their systems. That gap costs the industry years of failed implementations. We built Aero NextGen to close it with data, not opinion.”
